Start reading the Bible

It’s New Years Eve 2012, time to get started in reading through the Bible in 2013.  If we do this at about 85 verses per day, next New Years Eve we will finish.  It is do-able.  Here is my assignment for Tuesday, January 1, 2013 Genesis 1:1-3:24.  If you click on the reference you should be able to see the passage on your screen.
Keep it simple.  Read the day’s passage.  As an additional option, you may want to pick out a verse or two to focus on.  I write out my thoughts on that verse and try to challenge myself to put the commands and implications of that verse into practice right away. Tomorrow I will post the passage I chose in this first reading and my reflections on it.

Welcome to Thistle Dew Farm!

Welcome to Thistle Dew Farm!

Here on the farm our motto is “Contentment without Complacency”.   It isn’t heaven but Thistle Dew, for now. We want to make a difference in the world and we believe the place to start is the Bible.  Have you ever read it through?  Why not do it in 2013?  Beginning on January 1, 2013, I will post a daily suggested reading beginning in Genesis and going through to Revelation ending on December 31, 2013.  I will also post some brief comments based on a section from the daily reading which seemed especially important to me. Hope to see you here regularly.
